Joy ADU ( Accessory Dwelling Unit) builds small backyard homes similar to Joy Tiny Homes in Southern California. Our Backyard Homes, custom designed using Design Psychology principles, include human-scaled floorplans.
JOY ADUs Homes are prebuilt off-site to save time, money, and construction noise pollution.

Jeanette Joy Fisher, DPP, CEO, Founder, Designer & Builder of Joy Tiny Homes & ADUs is a Design Psychology Professional. Fisher. an author of 27 nonfiction books and textbooks taught college courses and still teaches occasionally online. She founded Joy Publications, Joy TV Network, and Joy Home Show coming soon to Rooku, Amazon, and Apple TV.
Michael Robert Lawrence is Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Chief Operations Officer (COO) at JOY ADU & Tiny Homes, LLC. He has a BA in Administration and Management with a minor in Psychology, Magna Cum Laude. After working as a Team Lead Quality Assurance Software Engineer and Technical Writer for a decade, he was the Operations Manager of a wire and cable manufacturing company and General Manager of a health club. He also learned about the home building industry while working for three years on a construction crew. Lawrence manages everything and ensures your ADU project gets built the way you want. He keeps homeowners informed on the progress and oversees the delivery. He is a published writer and social media influencer.
Barbara Loraine, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), has a MBA in
Brett Fisher, Paramedic & Emergency Medical Responder Instructor, manages Joy ADU’s purchasing, research, and vendor relations so his mom can keep designing. He also steps up where needed. Brett has years of construction experience with his late father, a special ed teacher who flipped houses to enrich the family’s lifestyle.
Brett has an SDSU degree in Linguistics and loves writing.
Thomas Manos, Senior Project Manager, contributed in the patent-pending system design that makes Joy Tiny Houses possible. Tommy has been working with the Fisher family on projects for years. Previously, Tommy managed huge crews for large development home builders all over Southern California. He knows how to build anything Jeanette dreams up, on time.
